My inspiration comes from the technique of reverse painting on glass. A love of light, color and painting have challenged me to create a new form of glass painting using the fluidity of oil paint and the transparency of glass to fabricate paintings that can hang in windows, capturing the sunlight when backlit, giving a stained glass effect. When front lit in the evening, the opacity of the paint changes the image to that of a classic canvas painting. Removal of paint with rubber tools adds a more defined dimension to the paintings. I love how these paintings change moment by moment with the changing light, and seem to have a life of their own.
