We love trees because they remind us of people in many ways. Their outside appearance hides the undiscovered beauty that lies within. Our joy comes from discovering that beauty as we shape each piece…the grain, the color, the texture, the smell…combined into an atmosphere similar to someone reuniting with an old friend. Different trees have different personalities…some are smooth and friendly, and are easy to work with, others are a bit more difficult…just like people. Any flaws are looked upon as a thing of beauty, and not as an imperfection. We create every wooden bowl and vessel for a specific person. It gives us sincere pleasure to witness this chance meeting.
