Williamsburg is midway between Richmond and Norfolk on I-64 (exit 238 – VA-143 toward US-60/Camp Peary/Williamsburg/ Colonial Williamsburg).
After exiting, look for the Colonial Williamsburg/Downtown Williamsburg directional signs (blue with red-and-white “ribbon”). Follow the signs for VA Rte 132 about a half a mile. After passing through the traffic light at Rte 60 the road will split:
- For the Shuttle near the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center – Bear left on VA-132Y (address: 105 Visitor Center Drive).
- For Downtown Williamsburg – Stay right on VA-132 S ( This is North Henry Street). Most of the public parking for An Occasion For The Arts is off of Henry Street but it is short term parking except for the parking garage on North Henry Street. Parking and Area Map (2 pages)
Amtrak serves the Williamsburg Transportation Center with a connecting train from Washington, D.C. and the lower Peninsula. The center is just two blocks from An Occasion For The Arts and the Historic Area at the foot of North Boundary Street.
