Artist Statement

I’m inspired by the tension between structure and movement, and by the possibility of turning discarded textiles into something polished and elegant. Architecture is a major influence on my work: I’m drawn to curved forms and unusual silhouettes. I use reclaimed materials like vintage blankets, curtains, and other overlooked fabrics because I’m interested in transformation—giving new value and meaning to what might otherwise be thrown away. What drives my practice is the pursuit of craftsmanship and form: creating garments with unusual construction, strong shape, and thoughtful practical details (e.g. pockets!).
