Artist Statement
Nature evokes a sense of comfort and nostalgia, inspired by myth, folklore, legend, and literature; flora and fauna act as a vessel for the desired imagery. Memories of being raised in the wild woods of Appalachia morph with my escapist imagination, combined they bring a fairytale to life, a remembrance of playing make-believe in the forest.
