Artist Statement

My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of the coast and the sacredness I find woven into everyday moments. Light, water, and changing skies become visual reminders of God’s presence, peace, and promise. After leaving the medical profession due to a potentially terminal and rare autoimmune disease, painting became a new way for me to care for both myself and others—offering stillness, hope, and space for reflection. I am driven by the desire to help people pause, breathe, and notice the beauty they might otherwise miss. Through layered watercolor, I seek to capture not only a place, but a feeling—where faith, resilience, and wonder gently meet.
