Artist Statement
I create textile art from repurposed fabrics through cutting, stitching and layering the fibers—embracing imperfection and echoing the process of healing, transforming something used into something new, something beautiful. The destruction and repair that happens during the creation of my art reflect cycles of growth and transformation that shape our lives. The multi-sensory experience of my art is key: the tactile nature of the fibers, the different colors, and movement conveyed in each piece.
