Artist Statement
Stories shape our world, connecting us through shared experiences. This power of storytelling inspires my work. Using whimsy and character development I start the narrative but leave enough mystery for the viewer to bring their own memories to the piece. I bring my stories, the viewer brings theirs and we meet on the paper; turning a monologue into a conversation. My work also focuses on telling stories that bring childlike and adult perspectives back together, creating a world where the wonder of childhood and the wisdom of adulthood coexist.
