Artist Statement
As a self-taught abstract artist, my paintings usually begin as a conversation between me and the canvas.Sometimes the painting has a lot to say; other times I am on my own, journeying to a world that comes from deep within me. My work is emotional and filled with color. In it light and texture reside next to instinctive mark-making as a way to move images into an interruptive, unforgettable experience.
