No formal art education, but, had the privilege of studying with some very wonderful and well respected artists who influenced me for many years. Having travelled many times to all parts of Mexico, I fell deeply in love with the extraordinary artistry of the Mayan people. I have tried to humbly connect with the Spirit of the Mayan artists/scribes from 3,000 years ago in trying to reproduce the texture of the images in the environment which their art continues to represent. Along side my Mayan inspired work, I enjoy creating imaginative images of people and allow myself to play freely with different ideas and expressions. I will be on a forever journey of creative self-discovery, for that is who I am, thought I did not always believe it. Now, I do.
