Artist Statement

I gravitate toward making abstracts with the intention of visually depicting our internal poetry and weather systems. I will occasionally paint something representational (usually nature-inspired) with an abstracted background, but my themes remain the same. The energy expressed in my art is meant to convey resilience, overcoming, and finding what brings one true joy in life. I believe that what we absorb into ourselves is what we put out into the world, and my paintings are no exception. Each of my joyful, energetic brushstrokes holds my own story, and I believe it is universally resonant.
